          We are working to start our tournaments again soon. We have chosen to use lichess.org. Lichess is 100% free, open           source, and will allow us to implement a lunch break. Please           see http://victoriajuniorchess.pbworks.com/w/page/141321951/Lichess%20Registration for how to create an account           and join the Victoria Junior Chess Society on lichess.

**ATTENTION** Due to the concern of coronavirus, EBC Chess Meet-up is now temporarily suspended until further notice. Please stay healthy.

Regular junior chess meet-up held by EBC Chess Club: every Monday night (6:00 pm -7:30 pm) at Emmanuel Baptist Church (2121 Cedar Hill X Rd, Victoria BC V8P 2R6). Free practice for all level players. Please ask around for "chess club" when you arrive at the church. To receive regular chess meet-up notification please contact Haibo Sun at the event. More details.

 

     Tournaments 2019/2020       

 

Due to COVID-19, all chess tournaments were cancelled with registration refunded including Victoria City Championship, Victoria Youth Chess Championship, Victoria High School Championship and Grand Pacific Open. Please stay safe and healthy.

 

     Victoria High School Championship 2019    

 

 

Paul Leblanc of the Victoria Chess Club presents the high school championship trophy to Mount Douglas Vice-Principal Paul Ledet. The winning Mount Douglas Secondary School Chess Team in 2019 was led by Victoria Junior Chess member, Mathew Geng, who has graduated and now in Waterloo University. Congratulations to the team!

If you are not able to stay on site during the tournament please make sure you have delegated the authority for direct supervision of your Child(ren) to another adult who will be on site. Please make sure your child(ren) and delegated adult knows your phone number including cell phone if you need to leave the tournament site. The Tournament Director(s) and Organizer(s) are not able to provide direct supervision. Tournaments may end sooner or later than the post finish estimates depending on how fast the rounds are completed in each section.
